    Are lawyers better than women?

Here is just one more thing to add to my list of annoyances...
News story this weekend about a Florida court that declared a TV commercial demeaning.
Basically, the advertisement compares their law firm (specializing in motorcyle accidents) to pit bulls implying they will fight to win your case.  The court finds that it demeans lawyers.
#1 Is it possible to demean lawyers?
#2 What about the poor pitbull?  Does anyone care how demeaning it is to him to be associated with lawyers?
#3 Are lawyers better than women?
Why is it that you cannot say a lawyer is a pit bull, but its perfectly OK to have a restaurant named "Hooters"?
I don't go there, I know people who do, women even.  I find it annoying.  If I wanted to go somewhere that objectified women I'd go to a strip club.  I find nothing wrong with strip clubs.  Maybe its hypocritical or nonsensical, but too bad.  The restaurant says they are famous for their wings, when its actually the breasts and ass of their waitresses that bring back their clientele.  Now, I don't find anything wrong with women who work there and get paid to have great bodies, fine.  Actually, I think its great.  Good for those women who can make money by just being beautiful, I think its great.  And i'm sure they will go to law school right afterwards....I just find the name of the restaurant demeaning. Hooters states it doesn't market itself as a family restuarant and claims that under 70% of its clientele are men.  And about the name... they say there is an owl on the sign and they welcome the discussion.
Whatever...  I've had the wings (at alocal festival) and they sucked.
The restaurant Hooters, by the way, also came out of Florida.

Here's a link to a Harvard Law blog (student?  lawyer?), with more info and opinion:

First, I agreee that Hooters wings are the worst wings I have ever tasted. the service sucks, the food sucks... It is supposedly a public restaurant, but I cannot consider them that. I realized that when one day we were trying to decide where to eat and we passed a hooters and the girls said they would feel way too uncomfortable to eat there. that spoke volumes about the atmosphere of the place and I have not stepped in there in years.
If they want to flaunt the girls, then they should admit that is what they are doing and not hide behind the 'owl' and double endendres. Just say what they are and admit it: T & A joint that serves lousy food since all the guys go in there for is the scenery anyway.
